Mom, Dad & Brad's Trip to Atlanta

In May, my mother, father and brother Brad came to visit Kris & I in Atlanta. This was the second visit for my mother and brother, but first for my father. Luckily they came to visit when they did because we moved shortly thereafter. We had a great visit. We did a lot of sight seeing, good dining and introduced my friends to a true Mexican barbeque.

You are never too old to enjoy some good putt-putt competition!

After Mom & Dad left, Brad stayed for a few more days and we went to a free Randy Travis concert... not a huge fan, but was still fun being that it was at an outdoor ampitheater!

Halloween 2008

What would Brad look like if he was a pumpkin?

Kris?

Me?

What would my Dad look like if he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame?

In 2007, my father was awarded "Plant of the Year" by Batesville Casket. Because of this, he was included in a video made by Batesville to be shown at their annual Sales & Operations meeting... he played a baseball champion like those shown in "Field of Dreams" walking out a nearby corn field.

Dad- you look great! :)

July 4th

For the fourth of July, we spent the day with all of our friends at Melissa & Jeremy's. It being our Independence Day was not the only reason to celebrate... it was also Jeremy's birthday. We celebrated at Melissa & Jeremy's and finished with fireworks over Lake Allatoona. We had a great time!

Gone missing...

Some of you may be wondering why I never seem to post anything fun anymore... well you see... that is yet another one of the joys of living in the country. I have moved into a house that does not have any internet providers- either service is not offered, our house does not face the correct direction or, get this, we have too many surrounding trees. My only choice for internet the past four months was satellite internet. Is anyone aware of how expensive that is? Let me tell you... most of the options required a first installment of at least $250 (up to $400) and a monthly bill of $200. NO WAY! Hence, the blogging hiatus. I am sure that you all understand!

Anyway, I have been lucky enough to find out about Verizon wireless plan that works like a cell phone... nothing up front and $60 a month. It's a little expensive, but do-able... So what does this all amount to?! A lot of new posts!

So... what's to come? A lot of fun things...
- pics from the 4th of July
- pics from our going away party
- pics from our last trip to Mexico
- pics of our new residence
- Halloween pics
And of course...
- pics of our child... Miles

Enjoy!
